Use the free checker below to find out in under a minute whether AOC-4 XBRL applies to your company, and which taxonomy you would file under.
Who is required to file financial statements in XBRL in India?
Under the Companies (Filing of Documents and Forms in XBRL) Rules, AOC-4 must be filed in XBRL format by companies listed on an Indian stock exchange and their Indian subsidiaries, companies with paid-up share capital of Rs. 5 crore or more, companies with turnover of Rs. 100 crore or more, and companies already required to file under the earlier rules. Banking, insurance, NBFC and power companies are governed by separate provisions.
Which XBRL taxonomy applies to my company?
If your financial statements are prepared under Indian Accounting Standards, you file under the Ind AS taxonomy. If they are prepared under the Companies (Accounting Standards) Rules, you file under the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) taxonomy. The basis of preparation note in your audited accounts tells you which applies.
What is the due date for AOC-4 XBRL?
Within 30 days of the Annual General Meeting. For a company with a 31 March financial year end holding its AGM on 30 September, the due date is 30 October. Late filing attracts additional fees of Rs. 100 per day per form, with no upper limit.
What happens if XBRL filing is late or missed?
Additional fees accrue daily and without cap, and there are potential penalties on the company and its officers. Directors of a company that has not filed its financial statements or annual returns for three continuous financial years face disqualification for five years under Section 164(2) — and that disqualification extends to every other company where they hold a directorship.
